Principle One’s innovative use of audiovisual technology in the DFS flagship T Galleria in Tsim Sha Tsui boosted customer traffic through the store by providing an easily visible route to the second floor. In addition, the store gained an eye-catching new display capability operating 9am to 11pm, seven days a week.
To provide a solution for DFS, Principle One designed a display system for the first floor, with large LED video panels on an elevated platform between the escalators to and from the second floor. Marketing videos playing on these panels reflect light in overhead mirrors, drawing customers towards the approach to the second floor.
A combination of merchandise in display cases on the LED panels and the videos playing around them captures customers’ attention as they use the escalators.
This platform measures 6m by 1.5m video panels but is just 12cm deep. It provides a spectacular visual merchandising facility without being obtrusive.
Maximum simplicity was a key design consideration, to save space and reduce power consumption and heat generation.
The DFS T Galleria flagship store is located in some of the world’s busiest and most expensive retail space and Principle One guaranteed that no sales time would be lost. Installation was completed in a single night.
Principle One selected a digital signage player that combines a high level of reliability with the convenience of remote content upload.
